Queensland is the fastest growing region in Australia, now well over four million people with the South East Corner responsible for more three million.
From the 2001 Census and the APA report of 2003; The South East Corner is experiencing record growth. 2008 has continued to see this record growth with New South Wales residents moving to the Sunshine State in their thousands.
Queensland extends 2,100 km from the north to south and is up to 1,450 km wide. The coastline stretches for 5,200 km. the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park extends south to Bundaberg.

The Great South East of Queensland
The concentration of population growth and therefore housing demand is in an area often called – The golden triangle. Which includes, Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich, Brisbane, Moreton Shire and Sunshine Coast. This area holds two thirds of the population.

Immigration and Population Growth
South East Queensland is the fastest growing region in Australia, fuelled principally by migration from the southern states. The region has experienced significant population growth over the last two decades, growing on average by 55,000 to 80,000 persons a year since 1986. This growth equates to 1000 new arrivals to the region every week. Current growth trends are expected to continue into the future, and the regional population is estimated to reach 6 million to 7 million by 2026.
